Favorites Forge ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected when you use our software and purchase through our store — and it's short, because there isn't much to explain.

1. The app itself collects nothing

Favorites Forge runs entirely on your own computer. It does not create an account, does not send your bookmarks, browsing history, or any other file contents over the internet, and includes no analytics, tracking, or telemetry of any kind.

Favorites Forge makes exactly two kinds of network request, and neither sends any information about you or your bookmarks anywhere:

• Check for Dead Links (optional, only runs when you choose to run it) — contacts the websites already in your own bookmarks directly to check whether they still resolve.
• Update check (on by default, can be turned off in the View menu) — fetches a small public file from our own site to see if a newer version exists. This is a plain, anonymous request for a public file — it doesn't send your current version, any identifier, or anything else about you or your computer.

If something goes wrong and the app crashes, a log file with the technical details is saved locally to your computer only. It is never sent anywhere automatically — you'd have to choose to email it to us yourself.

2. Purchase information

When you buy Favorites Forge, your payment is processed by Gumroad, Inc., not by us directly. Gumroad collects your email address and payment details to process the transaction and deliver your download. We receive your email address and order information from Gumroad so we can provide support and process refunds — we never see or store your card/payment details ourselves.

3. Our website

favoritesforge.com does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts. Visiting the site does not create any profile or record tied to you.

4. Support communications

If you email us (info@favoritesforge.com), we keep that email thread to provide support and resolve your issue. We don't share it with anyone else or use it for marketing.

5. Children's privacy

Favorites Forge is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the minimum age required in their country.

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and post the new version here.
